098-120524 In the Treasure Corner - The Cost of Our Toys, Part II

A couple of shows ago we talked about the cost of other sports and hobbies that make metal detecting look like a bargain.

The response to that show was phenomenal.  Listen to what people wrote me about the cost of their other pastimes.

You'll never complain about the cost of a metal detector again.

  • There are not too many hobbies besides metal detecting that you can you purchase your equipment by participating in the sport! Through the years I have purchased all but my first detector with the proceeds of my finds and even that detector paid for itself in just a few months. I still have all the gold and silver I have found over the years. I love fishing and hunting but from now on, my fishing will be done in the dirt and the hunting will be for the target I just dug!
